We are delighted to confirm our 2015 summer holiday to the 5* Le Meredien Hotel in Malta (16 – 23 September). The hotel is a gem of contemporary design with impressive views of Balluta Bay and has easy access to many cultural and touristic sites. The Royal Malta golf course is nearby.
Following the great success of our first European midweek break we will visit the historic city of Bruges, (Tuesday 2 – Friday 5 June 2015) staying at the 4* NH Bruges Hotel in the centre of the city. The group will travel by Eurostar from London to Lille so even some time for playing bridge on the train!
There will also be a second midweek break to York (Tuesday 14 – Friday 17 April 2015). staying at the excellent 4* Grange Hotel which is only a 5 minute walk from York Minster and the centre of town. York is less than 2 hours from London by train.
Due to popular demand we will be hosting two ski holidays in 2015, our first to a new venue, the 5* Hotel Schweizerhof in Grindelwald, Switzerland (7 – 14 January) and then we will return to the wonderful 4* Superior Hotel Alex in Zermatt, Switzerland (21 -28 March) after such a successful trip in March 2014.
There are three bridge weekends at the 4* Millstream Hotel in Bosham, Chichester, in November 2014. Their restaurant has two AA Rosettes for cuisine and the staff are very friendly and attentive. This is our favourite English hotel as it ticks all the boxes!
ARB Holidays are unique. It is important to stress that they are not aimed at the type of player who likes a serious 24-board Duplicate every night; instead the emphasis is on instruction, with a little gentle competition, played in the friendly, social manner that so typefies the ethos of Andrew’s Club.
No Partner is needed on any ARB holiday and anyone is welcome to come on our holidays, although we can’t cater for complete beginners. The bridge standard is wide ranging friendly Intermediate! There are some photos of our recent holiday’s on the ARB gallery page.
