Jack Stocken will start his Bridge courses on Monday 15th January 2018.


All courses last eight weeks, cost £125 and no partner needed. If you have to miss a class or two, then these can be made up when the course is repeated. There will be a half term break, so no Bridge on 12th February nor 12th March, denoted by a an asterisk. Minimum numbers apply.

The venue is The Helmsley Arts Centre, The Old Meeting House, Helmsley, YO62 5DW. There is parking available at the rear of the building and in the town. Schedule below in course order:

This course will be ideal for those who have completed the Intermediate and need to consolidate their bidding technique whilst at the same time improving their declarer play and defence. Aimed at those who would prefer to improve their card play rather than take on the challenge of the Improver course too soon.   1.    The Finesse 15th January

This course follows on from the Improver course and includes useful tools such as Stayman, Losing Trick Count and Signals and Discards. As always, the set hands will test your card play. This course improves your game considerably and after this you will be ready for the Advanced course and beyond.   1.    Stayman 15th January

Every Monday, 2.00pm to 3.45pm, starting 15th January, ending 19th March 2018

Imagine playing relaxed, randomly dealt Bridge hands with like-minded people in your living room, able to ask advice from a friendly, expert supervisor; this is the experience we aim to provide. This session is ideal for Intermediates and Improvers to practice their game.

No booking or partner necessary, so come to as many as you like. £10 per session. Nb No Bridge on Monday 12th February nor 12th March.
